Hospital Radiology Partners Launched
ATLANTA, GA (May 3, 2011) - Jackson Healthcare,
an Atlanta-based organization of staffing and technology companies,
has announced the creation of the new radiology management
firm, Hospital
Radiology Partners.
According to Jackson, physician alignment, profitability and
adaptability are the three ingredients missing from many hospital
radiology service lines.
Hospital executives typically contract with local radiologists
or national management firms to manage their radiology and imaging
departments. However, some local groups cannot provide the
level of staffing coverage that national firms offer.
Likewise, national firms can lack the cultural understanding and
personal trust that local physician groups offer.
"We emphasize performance-based contracts as a cornerstone of
our partnership approach," says Larry Kraska, who serves as
Hospital Radiology Partners' president. According to Kraska,
Hospital Radiology Partners offers the responsiveness of a local
practice with the depth of a large, national corporation.
"Our goal is to create a shared vision with appropriate, aligned
incentives between hospitals and radiologists."
According to Kraska, the key to successful hospital radiology
management is maximizing quality patient care and department
performance, minimizing patient outmigration, while managing costs
and reimbursements in the age of healthcare reform. Ensuring
that Hospital Radiology Partners is held accountable through
evidence-based management tools is key.
"We believe hospital service lines are not cost centers," says
Richard L. Jackson, chairman and CEO of Jackson Healthcare.
"Our companies manage their client service lines as profit centers
with an emphasis on protecting the quality of the physician/patient
relationship."
Hospital Radiology Partners provides outsourced radiology
services including general, subspecialty and interventional
radiology through onsite practices and teleradiology centers.
In addition, it provides radiology and imaging service line
assessments, management, outsourcing and consulting services to
hospitals throughout the U.S.
According to Kraska, "We want both hospitals and physicians to
view us as a trusted advisor and we know we have to earn this
privilege."
